Learning to ride a 2 wheeler

A couple of weeks ago my family and I went out to Wildwood Campground where my parents have a trailer for week of resting and relaxing! As my hubby was loading up the kids bikes, Cody (our oldest son) told his dad that he wanted to learn to ride his bike without the training wheels! Jon said sure, he would teach him.

Cody did really well, even if he didn't think so. He thought he would be able to get on the bike and just ride. Jon had only taken off the first wheel so Cody could learn to stop and start with a little help.

Then Jon took off the second training wheel. Cody wanted to give up a few times and Jon would say 'Okay then I'll put the training wheels back on and Cody would get upset and yell 'No, I don't want them on' He got it, no problem! I'm so proud of him!

Have a great day!

More photos and dreams!

So we took the kids to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa Bay....REALLY worth the money! The people were friendly and informative! There were great animals to look at and even touch! They had a 'touch tank' where you could touch Mana Rays and Bamboo sharks! It was so cool! The rays felt like wet suede and really enjoyed being touched!
Here is Tyler touching a ray

And Cody!

Even I got to touch some!

Cody's favorite was the sharks....the kid is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to sharks....he knows more about sharks then I do! He's like a sponge when it comes to shark info! For example...did you know you CAN NOT eat Great White Shark because they exude urine out their skin? Our 6 year old knew that

here is a picture of a Sandtiger shark...look at those teeth!

This is a lion fish

and the really cool octopus!

and here are some cute pics I took of the boys in the aquarium

We also attended a dive show...there was a diver in a huge tank and he talked about the preservation of the ocean animals and coral reef!

Outside the aquarium is a little water splash and play for the kids...I didn't have their swim suits or sun block on me and we wanted them to have fun so we sent them in clothes and all and they had a ball!!!!

Before we left we snapped a couple of shots at the sign!

Over at scrapbook dreamer my blog challenge this week is to blog about what your scrapbook dream is...I want to open my own scrapbook store...I used to run a family clothing store and loved it! I hope this is a dream I will accomplish!

Florida Dreaming....

It has been fabulous couple of weeks! Last week we went to Florida! My dh drives long haul and got a Florida trip...and we got to go. And the great guys he works for allowed him a day and half off there! Thanks Dave & Brett!!! We did some awesome things and I took a lot of pictures. One of the first things we did was go to Gatorama in Miami! I got some great shots there

This is one of gators we saw!

And here are the boys peering in at one of the gator habitats

And here is Cody holding a little croc

and Ty had to have a turn too (don't you love that smile!)

We also went out to the Peace river in For Murray and went for a swim...

Here is my hubby out on the pier

This is my favorite picture from the trip...all of my boys together!

Here is one my hubby took of our boys & I

Tomorrow or Sunday I will upload some photos of the Florida Aquarium....

Over at Dreamer my blog challenge this week was to blog about a dream we have for our children...I have pretty simple dreams for them...

I want them first of all to be safe....with their peanut allergies we are always worried about them being exposed and it is so hard sometimes.
My other dream for them is that they will strive for their goals....it isn't always about achieving their goals but the learning in the process. If you don't try you will never learn and never achieve.
Lastly I hope they are happy...truly happy! With the path they choose in their careers and in their home life. I hope they marry someone that makes them happy and that they want to make happy. Like I said...fairly simple dreams

Have a great day...we are off to the zoo in the am so I will even more photos to upload!

Dreams

Over at Scrapbook Dreamer I am posting blog challenges each Wednesday and this month I am focusing on dreams!

Well this is me;

T-shirt & jeans, messy hair and not a lot of make up. Its just the type of person I am. No fuss! I guess that is why I have a simple dream for myself. I want to open my own scrapbook store someday. Most of my dreams have already come true....I met and married my dream man (even though at times I think sometimes the dream has turned into a bad dream! LOL) I have two wonderful boys and I am happy. I don't want to be a millionaire (well it would be nice but I'm not holding my breath on that one!) and I don't need a lot of material things (although more scrapping supplies would be nice! LOL!) I like to work for what I get, its more rewarding that way! In the next couple of years I will open my store, a small store carrying my favorite companies, basic grey, daisy d's, maya road, scenic route, WRMK, Bazzill and Crate paper! I will work it, have one or two employees for Saturdays as the weekends are the only days that my hubby Jon is home, and I will work will my kids are in school. It a great dream!

Over at dreamer there are some great August challenges going on...make sure you check them out! I will post more links once all the challenges are up!

and over at the Kloset one my good friends Ally is this months KKSM so check out her challenges and the DT challenge!
