Altered Lightbulb - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
I do not create altered items very often but when I do I LOVE it!  I can use my imagination and create something fun!

So for this project I started with an flat bottom light bulb and started to alter it - I was inspired by Tiffany Solorio

I started with a layer of gesso, then applied a layer of crackle medium and let it set up.
I applied some texture paste through a stencil

I wet some Creative Embellishments chipboard and molded them so they could fit a round surface then let them dry.  I used gears, curly hearts, and the title piece Earth Angel.

I applied each piece along with some beads, resins, and resin flowers

Finally I started to color with mists in grey, teal, and purple

I added the photo to the binder clip and finished with a bit of vintage gold mist

The hop started at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog, so if you just happened to hop onto my blog you might like to head back to there first so you don't miss out on any of the fun!

here is the order of the hop...

I created my card using the fabulous Butterfly Aperture Die.
I cut the butterfly out of black cardstock and the for the outline I first adhered a piece of the double sided adhesive to soft white cardstock, peeled off the the second side of the double sided adhesive and applied a piece of gold and a piece of copper foil.
I then die cut it and adhered it to the black detail piece I already cut.  I wanted a little more sparkle so I added a bit of the Elizabeth Craft Designs silk microfine glitter in sections.
I adhered it to the card base I made using Blue Fern Studios paper and some black lace.
For the inside I die cut a silhouette circle and a happy birthday.

Well now it is time to leave my blog as you continue along our birthday hop. Your next stop is to the talented Luciana. Don’t forget to pop on over to our Elizabeth Craft Designs Family Facebook Group too to wish Els a happy birthday!

Beautiful Day - Creative Embellishments

Good morning!
Quite a few years ago my family and I went to Florida for a vacation...this is a photo my hubby took of our boys and I....

I created the background by using washi tape and masking tape!

I also used the Distressed Grid Stencil with texture paste and the Distressed Corner Stamp on the background!
Then covered the background with mists and powders till I was happy with the overall look.

For the chipboard flourish frame and the Beautiful Day title piece I wanted them to really stand out against the busy and colorful beabackground so I embossed them in black.

I added a cluster of flowers to complete the layout!
